and Conditions - Important!
- THERE ARE NO MOVE IN BONUSES AVAILABLE FOR HOME, DUPLEX, OR CONDO RENTALS.
- TexaStar Apartment Locator is a free apartment
locator service owned and operated by real estate agents
licensed in the State of Texas. TexaStar
is in compliance with all applicable fair housing laws.
We are not just a website! We are real people in a real
office working for you for free.
- Both your Agent’s Name and TexaStar Apartment
Locator must be listed on the guest card when visiting
each property.
- Both your Agent’s Name and TexaStar Apartment
Locator must be listed as your rental agency on your lease
application.
- Cash bonus Form must be completed prior
to move-in.
- Lease term must be 6 months or longer, at a property paying
a minimum 50% locator commission. This commission does not
affect your rental rate or any specials you receive.
- Cash Bonuses or the amount we can contribute to moving expenses is tied to the amount of commission we receive. The bonus level shall be determined by the amount of commission paid to the Company and will follow this schedule: Under $500 the maximum value of the bonus allowed is $50 cash or 1 hour of moving time. Over $700 the maximum is $100 or 2 hours of moving time. Over $900 the maximum is $200 or 3 hours of moving time. Over $1100 the maximum is $300 or 4 hours of moving time. Over $1500 the maximum is $400 or 5 hours of moving time.
- If you have previously lived in the community or transfer
to a related property you may not qualify for a cash bonus.
- Should the selected property withhold consent or not compensate
TexaStar, the cash bonus will be void.
- Cash bonus will typically be sent within 60 days, depending
on payment from the property.
- There will be only one cash bonus per apartment lease.

Moving Assistance Guidelines
We will assist in moving EVERYTHING you have in your apartment
for little to no cost provided you follow these simple guidelines.
Please read them carefully! Given the amount of service you
get for free, we believe they are fair and reasonable.
We’ll move everything you have that fits through the
door. This is something none of our competitors or any so-called
“Free Move” company can claim. They like to play
games like limiting the number of boxes you can have and charging
you for everything else. You MUST write DSAL “TexaStar Apartment
Locator” on your APPLICATION and GUEST CARD as your
referral source when you visit properties to be eligible for
your moving assistance.
This is how we’re compensated. Pretty obvious…we
can afford to pay for your move only if we get paid ourselves!
You MUST communicate to your agent where you’ve
decided to move.
We can’t move you for free if we don’t know where
you’re going! Please tell your agent about every Property
you’re considering before you go there. We need to stay
on top of it with the apartment communities every step along
the way.
You must pack as much as possible in boxes and disassemble/empty
all your furniture.
This is pretty simple: make sure your dressers and desks have
nothing in the drawers, and make sure your beds/sleeper couches
are taken apart and your bedding is packed etc. Our movers
will move you, not pack you. If you want them to help you
pack, they will charge you $65/hour.
You must reply to a contract email with an affirmative
response prior to receiving your free move.
The Guidelines for your move are located on this page. However,
just to be sure you’ve read them and understand them,
we require that you reply to an email that contains them and
some instructions on how to work with our movers.
If it fits through the door, we’ll move it
for free…no exceptions.
Obviously, our movers will charge you for moving things like
pool tables, pianos, enormous statues, and TV’s larger
than 50 inches, because they don’t fit through a standard
door and require a lot of time. However, chances are you don’t
have these things if you’re moving into an apartment,
so we think this is a reasonable guideline.
You must currently live within the 25-mile DFW service
area.
Our movers will charge you $25 for gas money if you live outside
the 25-mile DFW service area. If you’re moving from
another city, it’s a different story. Our movers won’t
move people from different metropolitan areas, such as Houston
or Austin. However, we can help you find an apartment and
provide you with a valuable move-in bonus as a thank-you for
using our services!
Home Equity Program Guidelines
TexaStar offers a revolutionary way for our clients to earn home
equity while they live in apartments, free of charge! Our
program allows you to earn 1% of the value of your new or
existing home purchase, which you can use to help cover closing
costs on your new home. The only guidelines here are that
you must use DSAL to find your apartment, and our parent company,
Texastar Relocations, Inc. as the exclusive buyer’s

Personal Tour Guidelines
- You may receive up to 2 personally guided tour sessions
with your Agent.
- Tours are conducted at communities no more than 10-15
miles apart from each other
- Our Agents give tours on Monday through Saturday.
- Tour sessions begin at 9am, 11:30am, 2pm, and 4:30pm.
- Each tour session allows time to view about 4 apartments/floor
plans.
- Safety and Insurance concerns force us to insist that
Clients have their own transportation.
- Tours must be booked at least 2 days in advance.
